< Micro-Nano Plastics (MNP) in Water: Engineered-Solutions
Call for Abstracts
This conference builds on the success of the 2025 conference and we are inviting abstracts from academic and industrial work demonstrating advancements on engineered-solutions for mitigating plastic pollution, with particular emphasis on approaches for drinking and wastewater systems. This includes sludge and solid waste management strategies as well as lifecycle costs and environmental impacts. In addition, health effects will be addressed including possible impacts on gut microbiome and translocation of plastics in organisms.
Please submit a one-page abstract as soon as possible and no later than the deadlines noted below. In order to allow a scientific assessment of the work by the organizers, the abstract should include both the significance of the research as well as results that will be discussed.
As only a limited number of oral presentation slots are available, all submissions will be considered for both oral and poster presentations. So as to increase the opportunity for discussion, we expect all those whose abstracts are selected for oral presentations will also present a poster.
We are especially interested in posters presented by graduate students as authors of top abstracts will be invited to give three-minute short talks.
Oral abstract submission deadline: January 15, 2027
Poster abstract submission deadline: January 25, 2027
- Abstracts must be submitted electronically and prepared according to this template: docx or doc.
- Abstracts of all presentations will be available to conference participants prior to the start of the conference.
- There will be awards for the top student/emerging researcher’s posters as well as the best overall poster.
Poster Guidelines
The best posters display a succinct statement of major conclusions at the beginning, followed by supporting text in later segments and a brief summary at the end. Click here for more information.
Poster Size: 1.5 meters high and 1.0 meters wide (Portrait style).
